36 and 37 weeks!

These two weeks were very similar to the last two weeks!

36 Weeks:
  • July 15: BPP ultrasound, doctor visit and NST. The BPP went great - baby girl scored 8 out of 8 and we even got to see her in 4D for a little bit. This was the first time in months that she didn't have her hands on her face/head, so we took advantage. Of course, as soon as B switched the machine to 4D, her hand went straight to her face! But, we still go to see her chubby little face and see her open and shut her mouth and move her tongue - so cool!! She was approximately 5lbs. 14oz., so she grew about 11 ounces in 2 weeks. My doc visit took a bit longer than usual because they had to do the Group B strep test and blood work, which was all normal. My NST also went quickly because the little Pixie decided to cooperate yet again!
  • July 18: I had actually been a little freaked out the night before and the morning leading up to this appointment because I was feeling a little off. I was crampy and her movements had changed - I could still feel her, but it wasn't as pronounced and it wasn't as often. She normally moves so much that it just made me a little nervous. As soon as we started the NST, she went crazy and passed the test within minutes! So, I guess maybe she is just running out of room and I need to get used to the decrease in movement. Or maybe she was actually just snoozing a little bit since she rarely seems to do that during the day!

37 Weeks:
  • July 22: BPP, doc visit and NST. The BPP went well as usual - she scored perfectly yet again! It did take a little longer to get the breathing again, which actually was to our benefit because we got to see her in 4D again! She was sticking out her tongue, so B wanted to see if we could catch it in 4D. She of course stopped when it switched over, but we got some amazing views of her. She is absolutely adorable - just like her brother! We were also lucky enough to get the tongue in a 2D picture, so it was a very successful ultrasound! Apparently, she had a growth spurt because in just one week, she jumped to 6lbs. 8oz.! But, I guess that is pretty normal - she should gain half a pound a week from here on out.  Doc appointment went well too. My belly jumped in size - I was measuring 37 weeks, so it finally caught up to the actual week. I should have guessed that would happen with the stretching I had been feeling over the past few weeks!
  • July 25: NST - she was a sleepy girl during this NST, but still managed to pass within a half hour. I was there for a bit longer because they kind of forgot about me in the room...but, I got a little rest in, so I can't complain! Hearing the repetitive beat of her heart on the machine + a comfy recliner sent me to dreamland quite easily!!

Overall, I still feel pretty great. My energy levels in the morning take awhile to get going - I feel pretty weak and light headed for a few hours, but then I feel great. And, toward the end of the day, I start to feel it again and also the stretching and pulling. She is constantly moving, so I am sure that is partly why I am having the constant stretching feeling. I honestly feel like I am in better shape this time though than I was with Jameson at this stage - I am still able to get in and out of bed fairly easily...which is no small feat at 37 weeks pregnant! My guess is because I have a toddler to keep me moving and I am not sitting around as much as I did when I was pregnant with him....different ballgame when you have a toddler to keep track of! So...now, we sit and wait and pray that little miss pixie decides to come on her own before her scheduled eviction date on August 8!!

36 weeks - love my chubby, happy rainbow baby!

36 weeks!

37 weeks! Beach ball belly! Plus, my pretty new haircut/color :).

And, dare I say she dropped a little?!

This picture is just perfect - she is perfect.

Looks like she is laughing.

34 and 35 weeks!

I can finally say it - next month, I will be having a baby! Eek! So exciting...and a bit terrifying! Lots of stuff going on over these past two weeks - I will quickly update!

34 weeks: Heartburn/acid reflux back in full force! Braxton Hicks are constant. I am not sure if I felt this with Jameson and I just didn't realize it or what, but man, some of them take my breath away! Overall though, I am feeling fabulous!
  • July 2: had my first biophysical ultrasound. Pixie did a great job until we had to "test" the breathing. It's funny because she was moving all over the place and kicking me, so it's not like we were worried. But, the breathing is always the hardest to catch, so we just kind of had to wait until we saw it or she started hiccuping. We finally caught her taking a big breath and then a few more, so she scored 8 out of 8 on the BPP. She weighed in at 5lb. 3oz...wow! After the BPP, I met with Dr. Santiago and it was a quick visit. They measured my belly, which was measuring 33 weeks and then we talked for a few minutes. Then it was time for a Non-Stress Test. Luckily, the little peanut was a champ and passed the NST within the 20 minute required time. So, the appointment that I thought was going to take forever only took an hour or so!
  • July 5: Second NST of the week. I was in and out within a half hour - she was a rock star!

35 Weeks: Going through bottles of tums at a time :). Breathing is proving to be somewhat difficult because I have little baby parts lodged in ribs and whatnot, but again, overall, I would say I am feeling great! Haven't started waddling yet and my weight has actually stood still for awhile now. I mostly feel like I am all belly, which I guess is good for the rest of my body, but not so good for my breathing!
  • July 8: Had our second BPP. Darin was able to come this time, but of course this time, little miss passed the BPP within minutes, so we didn't get to see her for very long! She was showing off her breathing skills as soon as the probe went on my belly! I asked B if she could see any hair since the old wives tale says heartburn = hair and that was certainly true with Big Brother! Pixie's head was snuggled up against something, so it was hard to see, but we could all definitely see a little halo of hair! Also, during the ultrasound, I kept jumping because I was getting poked in the ribs (and have been for awhile now). I was dying to know what was poking me, so B looked and it was a tiny baby bottom! Nothing like having a bottom in your ribs...except having feet in the other side of your ribs is pretty close!! She is just all kinds of spread out in there. I met with Dr. afterwards and he said everything looked perfect - she scored 8 out of 8 again! My belly measured 34 weeks, so still a week behind. I find this quite amusing since so many people tend to comment about how large my belly is! The little lady must have worn herself out though because she definitely took a snooze during the NST! But, overall, she did exactly what she was supposed to, so I really didn't have to stay much longer than the 20 minutes.
  • July 11: Second NST of the week and I was again out of there within a half hour. She was a champ and did exactly what we needed her to do. Must have been the smoothie I was drinking! She has been such a good girl with all of this monitoring - fingers crossed it stays that way!!
Same thing next week - but I will also get another blood draw to check iron and other stuff. Can't believe how fast this is all going and that in less than 4 weeks, we will meet her. Excited is an understatement!

34 weeks!

35 weeks! Growing!

Front of her adorable face - love those chubby cheeks and it looks like she is smiling!
