38 weeks:
July 29: BPP, NST and doc visit. BPP went well as usual even though catching her breathing proved to be difficult. Poor baby probably thought she was in the middle of an earthquake with as rough as B was to try and get her to move! But, she finally cooperated and once she did, it was another perfect 8 out of 8. She also did great on the NST. Passed within the allotted time as usual. The doc visit was a little disappointing since my body seems to like being pregnant as much as my mind does - it basically is nowhere near ready to birth this child on its own! So, I am going to continue taking Hoyt on loooong walks and am going to remain optimistic that things will happen before next Thursday. If not, at least I know I tried and I get to meet her in no more than 6 days!
August 1: NST - little miss passed with flying colors. I should have figured that with as well as she has done on all these tests, she would be stubborn when it came to entering this world! But, as I said before, as long as she gets here safely, that is all that matters in the grand scheme of things.
39 Weeks:
August 5: BPP and NST. Pixie was sleeeepy during the BPP. And, completely curled up in a ball. Last Friday when I woke up, I felt like she had definitely dropped - not drastically, but her little bottom seemed to no longer be in my ribs and that was confirmed during my ultrasound! But, she is almost like a football stretched across my belly. This made it a bit difficult for B to get the measurements she needed, but we were able to get to everything and she scored 8 out of 8 again. Her estimated weight was 7lbs. 4oz. We will see how accurate that is in just a few short days!
August 6: Doc visit. Dr. Santiago did a great job today talking to me about my anxiety and nerves regarding a repeat c section. Even though I am disappointed in my body, I can't help but get so excited thinking that I will be cuddling my newborn in just a few short days. I guess my babies just think I am a good "house" and they don't want to leave! I keep telling her that I will take good care of her out here too, but she isn't listening! However, all I have to do is look at the ultrasound pictures from yesterday and I get so excited. Everything happens as it should and I know that as soon as I hold her, I won't care how she got here. Two more days!!
