4 Month Doc Visit!

We had Baby G's doc visit on December 16th...and can I tell you how much I was dreading this one! It seems like everything went a little nutty after Jameson's 4 month shots - he got his first fever, stopped sleeping at night and just seemed off for a long time. But, we just mentally prepared ourselves for it! She did great at the appointment - Dr. Emm called this visit the "puppy dog visit" because at this age, babies should be drooling a lot, looking around at things, trying to sit up, putting things in their mouths, etc. She passed with flying colors - and he was again pretty impressed by her strength and awareness of things. She was also healthy as can be! Weighed in at 16 pounds 3 ounces (83%), was 26 inches (95%) and her head was 16.25 inches (66%).

As for the shots, she did amazingly well. She sucked the Rotavirus liquid right down. She didn't even seem to flinch at the first shot...but, definitely noticed the second! She let out a pretty big scream, but was fine as soon as I picked her up and Daddy started talking to her. She was a champ. When we got home, she actually barely napped that day, but slept for over 9 hours that night.  Tuesday was when things went a little south. My Mom called me at work in the morning because Gwendolyn had a fever. My parents gave her some Tylenol and the fever went down, but the poor thing dealt with a fever off and on clear until Friday. She was eating and sleeping per her usual routine, so the nurse said it was completely normal. We just waited it out and by today, she was feeling better. Sleeping wise - she slept great the first few nights, but has been pretty erratic since then. Waking up quite a bit. But, we are hoping this passes too once she gets back to being 100%!

Just a cute video:
Hanging out while we wait for Dr. Emm!

Kisses!

She has the puppy dog thing down :).

Snuggling with Mommy after the shots.

Showing off her Band-Aids.

That tongue!

And, sweet sweet boy: "I am sorry you got shots, sister. I will just hug you and make you feel better, Gwendolynie".
Melt.
