I certainly have a lot to be thankful for this year! A new blessing to add to my already blessed world. I don't need a holiday to be thankful for what I have, but it's nice to take time and focus on my many blessings for one day. This year was a little different because Dan and Kim were in Louisiana. We went over to Kelly and Derek's the night before Thanksgiving and then went over to my parents for dinner on Thanksgiving. A very low key celebration, which was actually really nice.
As I mentioned, I do not ever take for granted my blessings and I know I have a lot for which I need to be thankful. And, I do not let a day go by where I don't thank God for everything I have. My family - extended, in-laws, immediate - is my whole world. Thanksgiving only makes me realize even more how blessed I am.
